If you're old here and beyond, you probly know that I'm a decent human with a few key features from a few of the Steel Magnolias characters. I have a creative spirit and want to ignite sparks in the people around me while being a bit crass and eating something messy. I'm not above giving a friend a spit bath and I'll be sure you know if your fly is down or you have spinach in your teeth. I notice the details: the newly sparkling and the unusual dimming of what might normally shine. I see it in me. I see it in you. I see it in places and things. And although EMpathy is not my favorite thing, I love to find the moments to celebrate with and for you and share in your mourning. Compassion, Sympathy, Interest, JOLLIFICATION (it's a real word - I looked it up!), Making Merry and even just finding distraction from the mundane.
I have a long list of feelings and skills, but asking for help isn't at the top of either. I cook, I make art and wear costumes, I maintain relationships over time and space, I plan events, I multi-task effectively, I collect people (I gottaguy), I'm open and vulnerable, I can fit in (and find innuendo) just about anywhere. BUT I'M NOT A SALESMAN.
I need a circus barker, a hype man, a business manager. Someone who believes in me and what I do, is EXCITED about it, and wants to put me in the situations where I can make fireworks go off in other people's hearts and tummies. I need someone to tell me what that looks like IRL and how setting and achieving goals works. I set out to build something with and for people, but I'm finding that I mostly work alone. Hearts in the Mix is cute-busy, but I'm ready for it to grow into a real business. I needaguy (the figurative kind) who can figure out how to earn their keep and mine too; how to spread love and money and food and music around the community; and basically go trailblazing with and for me.
so... this is me asking for help.
