2024 has been a whirlwind of change, adventure, and forward motion in my life and for Hearts in the Mix. I've suffered the loss of several family members, held up our loved ones while dealing with the business of death, signed a lease on a new kitchen space, had to cancel my first 2 Studio Mama Supper Club events due to no fault of my own, made many large equipment purchases, and am feeling strong and determined to succeed (definition of success TBD).
As I move into this next phase of life and work, I'll be doing my best to stay in my lane, doing things I'm good at (learning what those things are, probably the hard way), encouraging those around me to do the same, and asking for help, all while hoping that, as I build my team on trust, gratitude, and mad skillZ, we become something larger than the sum of our parts. I've been re-watching The Bear and am in my first round of reading books by Anthony Bourdain. I'm both excited and terrified at the prospect of captaining my very own Pirate Ship.
Remember my Wednesday Night Supper deliveries? Pardon the interruption in service, but, now, in addition to my main staple of recording studio catering gigs, I'm developing a new product. It's in beta phase, but my small number of weekly clients seem to be really digging it.
You've heard of a CSA - a subscription to a farm where you get a box or basket of produce every week that you have to wash and prep and learn what it is and how to cook it. WELL...
I'm working on a year-round subscription for a bag (name TBD) of mix-and-match items that are ALL prepped and ready to eat, with the exception of a dozen farm-fresh eggs (which might SOMEtimes be deviled or frittata-ed). Each week the bag will contain 8 items sourced from local farms or regional purveyors of sustainably grown/made foods, each 2-4 servings, depending on how you choose to use them:
- entree
- roasted veg
- cooked green
- mixed crunchy lettuces
- baked good (bread or sweet treat)
- salad dressing
- other sauce, dip, condiment, or spice blend
- 1 doz farm eggs
There's currently a small delivery radius - I hope to add some pick up points as I move into my new kitchen and am able to scale this operation.
Thanks for your continued love and support of Hearts in the Mix, The Studio Mama, and The House of Blonde!
Let me know some of your favorite dishes that you hope might be included in the bags!

You are an inspiration in your strength and creativity. I love reading your updates and support you from your former home, Tucker, GA.
Love you tons. Miss you tons! Always so inspired by how you choose to make lemonade out of life’s lemons. Was thinking of you at the market just today because my turquoise Hearts In The Mix insulated bag has become my go-to market bag. Blessings on your newest adventure!
You got this. Man oh man. I’m so proud of you. Keep leaning into the uncomfortableness until you make it your new home. You have the heart and talent. Constantly ask yourself if others can be successful why not me? Why not me?
Thinking of you and sending love. 💕
This sounds wonderful. You’re always my inspiration! Miss seeing you.
